SINGLE POST

Stressed, blessed, and yoga obsessed

Greetings friends!

It is funny how people think "yoga people" are suppose to be calm. NO! We are here because we are all nuts.

The yoga postures and breath are tools to rebuild ourselves. The goal is not to tie ourselves in knots - we are already tied in knots. The aim is to untie the knots in our heart, to unite with the ultimate, the loving, and the peaceful power of the universe. Yoga doesn't just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.

Yoga is a light which once lit will never dim, the better your practice, the brighter your flame. It is through your body that you realize you are a spark of Divinity. Your practice doesn't expect you to show up happy, it just asks of you to be present. It doesn't matter whether you are put together, or if you are a mess(mostly!); you can arrive with a jumbled mind, and a very heavy heart. It can care less whether you can touch your toes, or if you can meditate for hours. It simply just asks that you show up.

Yoga is the practice of tolerating the consequences of being yourself.

A wonderful reminder for me is when we do the Warrior 2 pose: the hand that is stretched out to the back is in the past, while the hand stretched out to the front, represents the future. Always gaze into the future; have the courage to be in the present.

Yoga is magic. Unicorn stuff.

Namaste
